Wood Pressed (Marachekku) Groundnut oil is manufactured by the old traditional method.
Below are the processing steps that explained how groundnut oil is extracted:
- High-quality fresh farm groundnuts are Cleaned and dried in sunlight, This type of drying process helps in retaining the taste & aroma.
- In Maracheeku or Wood Press the dried groundnut seeds are placed.
- Then seeds are pressed & oil is extracted with proteins& vitamins.
- No preservatives or chemicals are added during the process.
- The extracted oil is allowed to settle for 3 days under sunlight.
- Settled oil is filtered(using cloth)
- Organic Marachekku groundnut Oil is filtered & Packed.
Marachekku Groundnut oil is used in cooking and is also used to make medicine. Marachekku Groundnut oil is high in monounsaturated “good” fat and low in saturated “bad” fat. This is believed to help prevent heart disease and lower cholesterol. Marachekku Groundnut oil might help to reduce the fatty build-up in blood vessels.
